After sputtering in Kansas and not being able to stop any opponent the last 5 games, the Texas Longhorns will travel to Lubbock to take on the #19 Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Raiders have been playing pretty good football this season with two losses to Oklahoma and Kansas State but shocked the country and the conference by manhandling West Virginia in pretty much every aspect of the game. Last week at KU, the Longhorn offense could not do anything, including getting inside the red zone twice and walking away with no points. It got so bad that starting QB David Ash was pulled in favor of back up Case McCoy who in one drive passed for more yards than Ash had all day and led the Longhorns to a come from behind win over the Jayhawks. While it is always good to get a win, but sometimes a loss is better because you don't really learn anything from a win. A loss would have at least maybe shook the team and coaching staff out of the funk they were in.
The Longhorns will try to get back on track and get a strong finish to the season against one of the top defenses in the country and every Longhorn fan knows that just about anything and everything can and will happen in Lubbock. This game could be a turning point in progression to a push for a good season or it could be the beginning of the end of the season and maybe even a few coaches tenures in Austin.
Game time is set for Saturday, 2:30pm on ABC from AT&T Jones Stadium.Tags: NCAA, Texas, Texas Longhorns, Texas Tech Red Raiders
