Texas Longhorns (8-4) will take on Pac-12 team Oregon State Beavers (9-3) on Saturday at San Antonio's Alamo Dome in the Valero Alamo Bowl. This will be the 49th bowl game that Texas has been invited to, but just the second time the Longhorns have made the short trip from Austin to San Antonio, the last one coming in 2006 where Colt McCoy led the Longhorns to a 26-24 victory over Iowa. This will be the 16th bowl game Oregon State will be going to and their first trip to the Alamo Bowl. Their last bowl game was the Las Vegas Bowl in 2009, where they lost to the BYU Cougars. This year's Alamo Bowl will be the 3rd meeting between the Longhorns and Beavers. The Longhorns have 2-0 record against OSU with wins coming in 1980 and 1987.Tags: Alamo Bowl, NCAA, Oregon State Beavers, Texas, Texas Longhorns
